Description: STONINGTON -- New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) is a nonprofit ocean adventure organization that engages students in experiential learning to build their confidence, leadership, and teamwork skills. Our programs provide students with opportunities for inquiry-based learning and transformational personal discovery. SUMMER DAY CAMP Monday - Friday; 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. June 20 - August 26, 2016 Locations: Stonington, CT; New London, CT; Westerly, RI NESS summer programs are for boys and girls ages 4-17. Sessions include week-long classes in marine science, sailing, powerboating, kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding, snorkeling, fishing, and more. Students are immersed in age-based activities that encourage environmental and ocean awareness through fun, hands-on learning. Classes are held in Stonington, CT, New London, CT, and Westerly, RI. NESS is a US Sailing Community Center, a certified US Powerboating Training Center, and a NSSIA certified surf school. Financial Aid available.
